Cisma

Denis Kamioka, a.k.a. Cisma, has a reputation for pushing creative boundaries to their limits.

Born to Japanese parents in Brazil, Cisma's career to date has reflected the diverse influences of both cultures.  Starting out as a graffiti artist he was soon working as an illustrator for various Brazilian magazines.

In 2005 Cisma moved to Barcelona directing high-profile campaigns for Wieden + Kennedy, Goodby Silverstein and McCann Erickson. His diverse range of styles and techniques can be seen in his work for Diesel, Paramount, MTV and Nike as well as an NBA spot where he slickly blends cultures using street-style animation set against Japanese-style woodblock backgrounds.

Now living in Brazil, Cisma’s recent work now focuses on stylised live action and his recently released short “Handmade” is a wistful tale of unrequited love. He has just released a short film for Adobe commissioned to demonstrate the new toolset of Adobe’s new Suite 4 Production Premium.
